Before I kick off this newsletter issue...
A quick word.
If I'm in a certain city, there are only 4 reasons I would meet up with you.
We have a mutual friend who vouched for you.
You want to give me money. LOTS OF MONEY.
You are a client of mine who already handed me LOTS OF MONEY.
You are a beautiful woman.
If you don't check any of these 4... (4 being the most important one, let's keep it real)
Then no man, I don't want to grab a coffee with you, I don't want to network, I don't want to let you pick my brain, I don't want to get dinner with you.
And look, I get it, I'm an amazing, prodigal, handsome, funny and humble advertiser. One which the likes of the earth has never seen before.
But I get too many messages to meet every time I travel to a new city.
I used to indulge in these requests, but more often than not, it turns into a free consulting session.
Don't take it personally, I'm naturally introverted. I like doing things on my own. My social battery runs out fast.
Alright, next up.
I've had this girl over this weekend.
She reads my newsletter so I won't go crazy on the details.
Anyways, we went to watch the Odyssey, which is one of my favourite stories.
The main character Odysseus, really intrigued me when I first heard it as a young chigga.
The wit. The daring. The adventures. The tragedy. And the finale.
I liked it for the heroism and the debonair of Odysseus.
But when I watched the movie, these days something else speaks to me.
First one is how loyal and intelligent his wife Penelope is. And how blessed Odysseus is to have a woman like Penelope.
But I suppose they are two peas in a pod. The only way you'd ever be able to have a woman like Penelope is if you are a man like Odysseus.
Second, is the theme of homecoming. If you know me you know I travel a lot.
Perhaps too much.
I'm not sure if I travel to run away from something or run towards a place.
Having money just made this easier and accelerated the travel.
But for now, I put a rule on myself that I cannot leave a place before spending at least 1 month in it.
Might even extend it to 3 months.
I've managed to make insane progress and money while traveling these past couple years.
But I've hit a ceiling.
I need to do the opposite of what most people should do.
And that is to STOP disrupting the daily routine and extend my time in one place.
So for now, still not sure where home is. But at least I'll have my temporary homes until then.
Last but not least... the current META situation.
As you may or may not know, META is putting the HAMMER down on all the shady ads.
Levelling the playing field for honest advertisers.
It did kill a couple of campaigns of mine...
But I'm not worried. In fact, I'm excited.
Anytime something disrupts the market, something crazy happens, or chaos occurs.
That's when the MOST opportunity arises.
Think about it, now that META is working hard on getting rid of all the BS finesse ads...
It opens up a whole new flood of cash, ripe for the taking.
Yes... It MIGHT be a bit harder depending on your market, because you can't say mad shit anymore.
BUT... It's always been survival of the fittest. If you can adapt and overcome fast, you will make the most money in this situation.
My return on investment with ad dollars has been absolutely insane.
I'm always trying to spend more money on ads, in any way possible.
I'm sure you know but the most I've ever spend on ads is $50k per day for about a week straight.
I regret not having dumped more.
This is one of those times again.
Take action, don't be scared, it's time to ante up, take the shot and pull the trigger.
