Was in the Emirates last week. And going back tomorrow.

Planning to setup a base there.

It makes a lot of sense. Especially if you’re an online entrepreneur who travels.

Taxes.

Location and flights to every country.

Network.

A couple of things that are quite annoying though.

Coming from Europe, I love walking everywhere.

Because the way cities are built in Europe.

Through am “organic“ manner, sprawling out from a main square or town hall.

Accessing places feels more natural.

But Dubai is a fast growing city.

So the infrastructure or the layout of the city is quite honestly annoying.

Noticed that barely anyone walks.

I’m often the only person on the road if I’m not in the “hotzones“ like Business Bay and the Marina.

Before I give my complete opinion though, I’ve only stayed in 2 places.

The JW Marriott Marquis in Business Bay.

And the W Hotel in the Marina.

Didn’t like the JW Marriott Marquis too much, wouldn’t recommend it.

But loved the W Hotel. Since it’s part of Marriott, and next to Meridien and Westin, you’ve got access to a bunch of restaurants.

Will probably stay there again.

Then I went to check out Abu Dhabi.

And quite honestly, liked it more.

Visited the Louvre and although the exhibition is not as impressive as the Parisian version.

The museum itself is beautiful to see.

Another part I enjoy about the UAE is how everything is open until late.

You can grab dinner at midnight, work in sisha lounges till 2 in the morning without problems.

You don’t have that in Europe, almost everything closes at 9-10pm.

Except if you’re ok with grabbing food from gas stations))

Last but not least, the tax process and going through everything has been very smooth so far.

As an online entrepreneur I’m always looking at different options and possibilities.

There are many factors to consider, and it’s dependent on the type of life you want to live.

One of those factors I like to consider is:

HOW MUCH HEADACHE AM I EXPERIENCING GOING THROUGH THIS PROCESS?

So far it’s been pretty painless.

Anyways, I’ll keep you up to date about this as time goes on.

Probably discuss the other setups I’ve tried and would recommend / or recommend against.

Talk soon,
