There's an important topic I want to touch on.
I think it'll help you tremendously in business and life.
But first.
Let's talk about my first, maybe last, in person event!
Prague.
First, 9 people attended, and I'm glad to share that everyone LIKED the city.
Makes me glad that my travels and recommendations paid off.
Especially since Prague is best enjoyed during off-season. Autumn.
When there are less drunk tourists roaming around...
The weather is enjoyable...
And you can walk around during day or night without sweating your balls off or getting the chills.
I'll have to say though, organizing an event, even for such a small group is a headache.
Lots of respect to the gurus who pull through each year. Or do regular inperson events.
For me, it's a lot more fun to attend then it is to host.
Would've been awesome to attend a Gary Halbert seminar for example.
But I can't imagine he enjoyed doing the admin stuff around it too much.
The event started in a sisha lounge.
Had to scope around and smoke a bunch to find a good one.
Of course I had to go with a Ukranian / Belarussian spot.
They always make good sishas.
Meeting everyone IRL, I've been chatting with in the Telegram group was dope.
Afterwards we grabbed some good ass Korean Barbeque.
For food it's a bit of a difficult choice, considering different cultures and tastes.
In my opinion KBBQ is an easy win, quality meats like wagyu, not so strong alcohol like soju, and grilling meat together. Nohomo.
We then hit a bar for predrinks. At the W hotel. It's right next to a famous club called Duplex. Yes, I know it's very touristic.
But it's easy access and didn't have to walk crazy amounts to get there.
Plus it's always packed and vibes are good.
For the actual workshop, I hosted it at Hilton Prague.
I think it's a dope location and hotel, the lobby is sick.
And it's got a casino right under it.
Some mishaps though, their projector did not work at all.
So that was cooked for the in-person attendees.
But we got the work done, and tried my best to make sure everyone had a great time.
I even took this Singaporean to the casino.
Of course, the one asian in the group wanted to gamble xD
He ran up a nice bag in the poker room.
Shoutout.
An update on my publishing journey.
As you may or may not know, I pretty much made all my money running "faceless offers" - basically AI characters, pen names, what have you.
The OG DR style, Clickbank VSLs, etc etc...
Ran up a solid bag, first million made in 90 days, then $16.8M+ in 3 years.
It's great, but there comes a point where it becomes churn n burn.
Every 5 shots or so is another $100k pm faceless offer.
But nothing is ever built.
I tried it myself this year, to be a guru, that is. But I spent too much time teaching, instead of operating.
And at the end of the day I love writing, marketing, direct response.
-> Reason for my pivot to publishing.
I have a couple of friends who are absolutely crushing the model.
I'm talking $50M+ a year.
Madly consistent too, because it keeps compounding.
BUT, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
Here's what I realized.
Running faceless offers is a FUCKTON easier on the frontend.
I mean, your morals are pretty much your limits on what you can do.
And mine are pretty loose in that regard.
Not so crazy as some have taken it, but still.
When you have unlimited copywriting freedom, you can create anything out of your mind and put it into reality.
Like my manifestation, spirituality, astrology offers.
Even information health ($5m for me), as long as you have proof to back it up.
Now, because I work with LEGIT gurus, who have LEGIT solutions, I have to tone it down A LOT.
This has been quite the challenge, but one I'm excited to take on.
In my recent workshop and in the Prague live event, I built one of these publishing offers live. From zero.
I think what I need to work on the most is cracking a modality I can replicate.
For faceless offers that's the 40 minute VSL.
But it's a bit unpractical when I'm working with a partner.
I can't really ask them to shoot 5, 40 minute VSLs in a row.
With faceless offers, it's easily done with AI now.
That's why I think, in just pure direct response terms, faceless offers is easier than publishing offers.
At least for the frontend.
I will say for publishing offers, it's easier to get information from the market.
You can just listen to sales calls.
Which I'm doing right now.
It's a lot of data that would otherwise get lost with faceless offers.
Which brings me to the most valuable trait a lot of people miss.
That is the ABILITY TO STAY IN THE POCKET.
In boxing there's this concept called staying in the pocket.
You're basically holding your ground at close range instead of backing away.
It is dangerous because you can get hit.
But it is also where you have the best leverage to land heavy counter-punches.
It's a nice metaphor for life.
Instead of backing away when things get chaotic around you.
You lean into it.
Trust your training.
And handle the problem infront of you.
How do I do this?
Well simple, same as I did when I first started out.
Write, write, write.
Fire, fire, fire.
One sales letter a day. Keeps the poverty away.
Much love,
Zhihao Huang
