I think Istanbul is an awesome city, and I actually considered moving there.
But the economy is so horrendous.
I remember having a wad of cash in Turkish Lira, but when I revisited, the value dropped so much it was pretty much useless.
Besides that Istanbul is a city with insane history and culture.
Many people pass through because of the airport connections.
But if you get the chance. You should definitely visit the city.
